Privacy Policy
Easy Read · Last updated: June 2, 2026
Easy Read (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a mobile app that helps you magnify, recognize, and read printed text using your device camera. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Easy Read iOS app.
Summary
- Core reading features run on your device. We do not read your text in the cloud or require user accounts for reading.
- We do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.
- We do not use your information for third-party advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
- We currently do not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking technologies.
Information we process
Camera and on-screen text. When you use the app, the camera feed and recognized text are processed locally on your iPhone or iPad to provide magnification, text recognition, and text-to-speech. We do not upload your camera feed or recognized text to our servers for these features.
Subscriptions. If you purchase Easy Read Premium (monthly, yearly, or through a promotional offer code), payment and subscription management are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. We receive only the information Apple provides to confirm your subscription status (for example, product identifiers, offer details, and entitlement state), not your full payment card details. Offer code redemptions are processed by Apple; we do not collect or store your offer codes on our servers.
Support communications. If you email us for help or feedback, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message content).
Diagnostics and analytics. We may receive limited technical information such as crash reports, app version, device type, or anonymized analytics to help improve app stability and performance. If we introduce such tools, we will update this policy. We currently do not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking technologies.
Information we do not collect for core features
- No account sign-in is required to use reading features.
- We do not store recognized text or reading history on our servers for the app’s core reading features.
How we use information
- Provide and improve the app’s on-device features.
- Verify premium access through Apple’s in-app purchase system.
- Respond to support requests you send us.
- Monitor stability and performance when diagnostics or analytics are in use.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not share your camera feed or recognized text with third parties for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking. We may share limited information:
- With Apple as part of App Store purchases and subscription management.
- With service providers that help us operate the app (for example, crash reporting or analytics), subject to appropriate safeguards, when we use such services.
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Data retention
On-device processing for reading does not create a persistent cloud copy on our systems. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business records.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at sashajovanovic.dev@gmail.com.
Children
Easy Read is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- You can deny or revoke camera access in iOS Settings; some features will not work without it.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
- You can redeem subscription offer codes in the App (Menu → Plans & Billing) or through Apple’s account redemption flows, when available.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
